Mae S. Moseley died at Whidbey General Hospital, Coupeville on Aug. 10, 2007, at the age of 92. She was born May 1, 1915, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph R. and Ellen Squires. Mae was raised in Ely, Nev., graduating from high school there.
Mae moved to Seattle and spent most of her life in Seattle and Redmond. She was employed as executive secretary for the Olympic National Life Insurance Company and later as secretary for the Redmond Overlake School District.
Mae moved to Oak Harbor from Beaverton, Ore., in August of 2001. She was an avid golfer for much of her life. She was married to Russell L. Zink at her home in Oak Harbor on Jan. 5, 2002. She was happily married to Russ for nearly six years.
Mae was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star and Past President of the Business and Professional Women’s of Seattle.
Her husband Russell Zink and two children survive Mae, daughter Kathleen Bergman of Houston and son Douglass Lloyd Nixon of Oak Harbor. Four grandchildren, Jay, Neal, Charlene and Troy and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Dylan and Zachery, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Husbands, George Lloyd Nixon and Raymond Moseley and an infant daughter Jeri Jo Nixon preceded her in death.
Cremation was held. Family inurnment will be held at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery, Seattle. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
