Suzy Smith, of Coupeville, born Oct. 13, 1951, passed away on Feb. 8, 2009 at age 57. She will be greatly missed by her husband Clay Smith, of Coupeville, daughter Sarah and son-in-law, Mike Brandstetter of San Jose, sister Mary and brother-in-law Jim Hart of Naples, Fla., brother Dick Mueller of Vienna, Austria, mother-in-law Manda Smith of Midvale, Utah, sisters- and brothers-in law BJ and Larry Holmberg of San Francisco, and Beverly and Kirby Caywood of West Jordan, Utah, all of her nieces and nephews, and her many close friends.

Born in Highland Park, Ill., Suzy was known by her friends and family for her extraordinarily upbeat attitude, and inspirational ability to make the best of every situation that life threw at her. She was a self-professed shopaholic with a penchant for making a new friend on every errand. When Suzy was not telling a “colorful” joke, she was throwing a ball for her dog, Molly, or planning her next big adventure.
