Loreata “Rita” Todd passed away on Jan. 10, 2013.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1930, the seventh child of Boyd Henry and Fern Idonna (Johnson) Todd, in Modesto, Calif. Loreata married the love of her life, Thomas S. Todd, on June 21, 1949, in Modesto.
Tom and Rita returned to Tom’s home state of Wyoming soon after their marriage. While Tom made his living in the oil fields of Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Canada, Rita made a home for them and their seven children.
Those preceding Rita in death are her husband Tom, on March 14, 2012; her parents, Boyd and Fern; her brothers, Uriel, Leith and Noel Todd; her sisters, Idonna Graham, Vida Fraze and Nadine Sanford; a step-grandson, Phillip Buckley; a great-granddaughter, Eloise Baker; and a step-great-grandson Sebastian Layman.
Survivors include her children: sons Bill, Pete, Tom Jr. and Tim Todd; daughters Sheryl Simpson, Karli Cook and Cindy Todd; and their spouse and significant others; sisters Leola Jones, Elva Smith and Reanon Elmor and their spouses; 13 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 37 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, corner of 36th Street West and Monad, in Billings, Mont.
