Emmy Lou Murray, 73, died Jan. 28 of natural causes at her home in Oak Harbor.

She was an artist and a resident of Whidbey Island for nearly 30 years.

Born in Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Murray attended Skidmore College and was an accomplished equestrian.

Survived by nephew, Robert B. Jennings III, and niece, Lyle Jennings Colombo, she will be dearly missed.
