Rebecca Patricia Draeger Merryman, 30, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31 in Oak Harbor.

She was born Oct. 7, 1981 in Sioux Falls, S.D. She moved to Oak Harbor in 2003.

Survivors include her son Xavier Merryman, age 10, of Loveland, Colo., her parents, Gene and Monica Draeger of Green Valley, Ariz., her brother and sister-in-law, David and Nan Draeger of Woodbury, Minn., grandmother Ruth Draeger of Fargo, N.D., grandparents Leonard and Marianne Schlepuetz of Kimball, S.D. and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held at the Burley Funeral Home chapel in Oak Harbor on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution be made to a college account for her son. Contributions can be made at any Wells Fargo bank in the name of Xavier Merryman.
