The light of the world was dimmed by the sudden passing of Bonni Leota Triplett (nee Henry). She passed suddenly and peacefully, surrounded by her children, July 24, 2016, in Gastonia, N.C.
While she made her home in North Carolina, her heart always belonged in Washington. Bonni grew up in Oak Harbor, attended Oak Harbor High School, and was the manager of the local KFC store for over 10 years.
With her strength, vivid personality and amazing sense of humor, Bonni touched and changed dozens of lives. Her light in this world will be sorely missed.
Bonni is survived by her adopted mother Ardella Blythe; her husband Bobby Lee Triplett; and her children and grandchildren, Nichole, Cassie, Joe, Steven and Aden.
Services will be held in her honor at a date to be announced. Condolences may be sent care of Ardella Blythe at 446 NW Dory Dr., Oak Harbor, WA 98277. We ask for no donations to funerary costs; but for those who wish to honor Bonni, a small donation to the Humane Society in honor of her love of dogs would be fitting and appreciated.
“May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, and until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.”
