Heather Marie Scott, beautiful and beloved daughter of Robert P. Scott, devoted sister of William F. Scott, passed unexpectedly Oct. 9, 2008. She is preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Sue Scott, who passed Sept. 7, 2008, and her grandfathers William K. Scott, Jr. and Frank Bisbee.

Heather was born July 22, 1978, in Portland, Ore. Being born into a military family, she grew up at various stations throughout the West and East Coast. She graduated from Antioch High School and Heald Business College in California. She worked for CONCO Cement, Concord Calif., in their finance department before moving to Oak Harbor. Here she worked as the Office Manager for GS Defensive Driving School. Her greatest joy was her family, her dog Tanner and caring for her home.

Heather is survived by her father Bob Scott and brother Bill Scott of Oak Harbor, grandmothers Betty Scott of Antioch, Calif., and Elma Wilson of Portland, Ore., as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Burley Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Cliff Horr officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
