Linda L. Craft Deir, 61, passed away Feb. 19, 2007, at Whidbey General Hospital, Coupeville. Linda was born Sept. 3, 1945 in Ontario, Ore. to Wilson and Mary (Smidt) Craft. Linda attended school in Ontario and graduated from Ontario High School in 1963. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1967.

She met and married her husband John Deir in California in 1973. Their daughter Devin was born in 1978. Linda and John resided in Granite Bay, Calif. until 2000 when they relocated to Coupeville. Linda bred and raised Basset hounds. She and her dogs won many awards through the years. Linda was an animal lover and had many different animals in her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Wilson Craft. She is survived by her husband of 34 years John Deir, Coupeville; daughter Devin, of Spokane; her mother Mary Craft, Ontario, Ore.; her sister Betty (Allen) Phillips, Greeley, Colo.; and her brother Bob (Susan) Craft, Eagle, Idaho.

As per Linda´s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes that any memorials be made to your favorite animal shelter.
