Ray W. Cadwallader passed away Aug. 1, 2013. He was born on Aug. 20, 1918 to Ray W. Cadwallader, Sr. and Elsie Bernice Brown Cadwallader on a houseboat on Lake Union in Seattle.
He was raised on the carnival circuit between Seattle and Des Moines, Iowa.
Returning to Seattle, he graduated from Ballard High School in 1935. He was a WWII vet and spent his working years as a Seattle fireman.
He helped pioneer our Medic One program and retired in 1965.
He was a 66-year member of University Lodge #141 F&AM, Scottish Rite. He moved to Coupeville on Whidbey Island in 1978.
At his request, no public service will be held.
There will be a private memorial for family at a later date.
He is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 53 years, five children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
