Richard E. Pratt, 50, died Aug. 6, 2004 in Coupeville. He was born Feb. 6, 1954, in Melrose Park, Ill., a son of Edward and Beth Pratt.

Mr. Pratt served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years and then ran his own business. He was a resident of Whidbey Island for 25 years.

He is survived by his mother and sister of Colorado. There will be no services. Cremation is under the direction of Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
