Rosalina Espanol Elamparo, 83, was called home to the Lord on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Island Hospital in Anacortes. She was born in Burgos, Pangasinan, Philippines on March 24, 1930, to Maria Macaranas and Victor Espanol.
Rosalina Espanol Elamparo married the late Francisco Conrado Elamparo of Masinloc, Zambales, Philippines.
Rosalina relocated to Washington in 1986 where she joined her children in work at the Washington Bulb Company and the National Frozen Food Corporation in Burlington. She was employed for more than 17 years.
Rosalina was strong in her faith. She attended black rosary with friends and family. She was happy to see all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren growing every day. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and all who knew her.
Rosalina is survived by her eight children: Lilia Wood, of Carmel, Maine; Renato Elamparo of the Philippines; and Danilo Elamparo, Elma Bagarella, Aida Valencia, Conrado Elamparo, Marylou Egbalic and Sonny Elamparo of Oak Harbor. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Rosalina will be held 12-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at Wallin Funeral Home. An evening vigil will follow 6-7 p.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, with Rev. Paul Pluth, J.C.L. Celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a reception in the Parish Hall directly after mass.
