Elmer Darley Bowen passed away Aug. 6, 2005 at his home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
His was born in December of 1934 in Magna, Utah.
Elmer served as a Technical Representative at the Navy Air Station Whidbey for over eight years. Elmer worked for the federal government for over 30 years before retiring, being stationed at many Navy bases around the United States.
He was married to Varna Bowen for over 51 years; they were married June 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is survived by his wife Varna; sons Bruce, Steven, Mark and Russell; daughter Nanette Braby; brothers Ray and Kent Bowen; and sisters Sherma, Liane, Ivalue and Kathlene. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jay-Lynn Bowen, a granddaughter, Stephanie Bowen, and his parents, Elmer and Sara Bowen.
Viewing will be held Thursday Aug. 11 from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10. Both will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2801 N. 4th St., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. Burial will be at the Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, Coeur d’Alene Idaho.
