Marjorie Constantine passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2007, at her home in Oak Harbor at the age of 83. Marjorie was born July 3, 1924 in Corona, Calif. She attended Santa Barbara State College and worked for Pacific Telephone Company until she retired in February, 1981 after 30 years of service. She moved to Sutter Creek, Calif., where she volunteered with the illiterate, and helped senior citizens with their taxes.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Cota Sponsler of Santa Barbara, Calif.; her son David Walton and his wife Denice of Oak Harbor; three grandsons, Ian and Eli Walton of Oak Harbor, and Abe Walton of W. Lafayette, Ind.; and two great grandchildren, Alysha of Oak Harbor and Lorelei of W. Lafayette.
Services will be held at Burley’s Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burley’s Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to McKinley’s North Whidbey Adult Family Home, 4366 N. Cerullo Dr., Oak Harbor WA 98277.
