Martha Ruth Bruns, 81, of Oak Harbor, died March 19, 2009, in Oak Harbor. She was born on June 17, 1927, in Skamania, Wash., to Fred A. and Mary Cora (Eilfiman) Dudley.

Martha moved back to Oak Harbor from Alaska with her significant other, Paul Buell, in 2004.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bruns in 1974, daughter Carol Chain, her parents, and siblings.

Martha is survived by Cora Tebles of Marysville, Wash., Bryan Dale Bruns of Wasilla, Alaska, and Timothy Bruns of Wasilla; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
