Wanda M. Bratt, 80, of Oak Harbor, formerly Lincoln, Neb., died June 9, 2011. She was born to Loren and Marles (Kapke) Lewis on Feb. 9, 1931, in Fairbury, Neb. Wanda spent 27 years taking care of hundreds of foster children in her home.
She is survived by children and spouses, Richard Wallace Bratt, Jr., of Lincoln, Linda and Lyndon Nelson, Lincoln, Marlene and Richard Pfeiffer, Harleysville, Penn., Steve and Sheila Bratt, Marysville, Mo., Susan and John Christie, Allentown, Penn., Darrell and Lori Bratt, Oak Harbor, Gloria Bratt, Lincoln, Jackey Bratt and fiancé Charles Smith, Columbia, Md., and Charnique Bratt, Lincoln; son-in-law Monte Wilson and Martell; 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Lewis of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Shirley Falk, St. Joseph, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wallace Bratt Sr.; daughter, Shari Wilson; granddaughter, Jessica Wilson; her parents; and siblings Dean Lewis, Phyllis Pavey and Gwen Martin.
