John W. Woodall, Jr., 86, known by his many friends as Woody or Johnnie, of Alpharetta, Ga., passed away May 6, 2007. John was born in Soda Springs, Idaho on Oct. 13, 1920 to the late John Wallace and Elsie Woodall. He attended Mississippi State College, Northwestern University, the University of Idaho and Idaho State College.
He entered the US Navy in 1943. After he had received his commission, he married Eileen Whitehead of Grace, Idaho. He was a fighter pilot and flight instructor making the Navy a career. He and Eileen lived throughout the USA and in Paris, France. He retired in 1965 in Oak Harbor. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Eileen. He is survived by his daughter, Jill Woodall Keyes of Alpharetta and his brother Joe Woodall of San Diego. His ashes will be scattered in Wyoming with his wife Eileen, per their request.
