William (Toby) Coalson

In loving celebration of William (Toby) Coalson’s life. The beautiful red sunset created the pathway leading him into his precious Heavenly Father’s arms that evening. Later, the nighttime sky filled with radiant dancing angels to welcome him safely home.

William F. Coalson died peacefully at home Nov. 7, 2004, with his mother and stepfather by his side. Toby was born in Bellingham Jan. 11, 1951, to Verle G. and Evelyn V. (Turner) Coalson, where they resided in Crescent City, Calif., before moving to Moab, Utah. They later moved to Grand Junction, Colo., where they lived for eight years. Toby attended Adventist Academies throughout his youth. Toby was a hard worker all his life working in carpentry and maintenance. He even went to school to be a dental lab technician where he and a friend went into business together. IN 1993 he moved to Battleground; he finally settled in Oak Harbor in 1994. Toby had a real love of the outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening or just building forts at the beach with his daughter, Megan.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his two beautiful daughters, Nikki Hitchcock of Redding, Calif., and Megan Coalson of Arlington; his mother Evelyn Reeves and step-dad Bud Reeves; sister Brenda Spoo of Grand Junction, Colo., sister Vicki Coalson of Portland, Ore.; his son-in-law Eric Hitchcock of Redding, Calif.; his ex-wives Miriam Belgeri of Redding, Calif., and Dina Larson of Arlington; his uncles, Cliff Turner of Oregon and Chuck Turner of Colorado; his aunt Joanne Harlin of Colorado and dear friends Kevin Newell of Oak Harbor, Pastor Hal Gates of Washington, Tom Burns of Arizona, and Steve and Joanna Seppa of Oak Harbor. Toby was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m., at Oak Harbor Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to the home health nurses and his church family for their kind care and support they gave to Toby.

Thinking, remembering, and never forgetting.
