Eleanor Peischel Bone died on June 22, 2014 at the age of 94.

For many years, Eleanor lived on Whidbey Island, where she taught English at Coupeville High School and later Oak Harbor junior and high schools.

Eleanor retired from teaching in the early 1970s, married Charlie Bone and moved to Florida, where they enjoyed their retirement.

Eleanor inspired her many students, friends, family and her own children with her energy, creativity and love of reading and learning. Eleanor was the loving mother of Bob, Bill and Janet Peischel, all of whom miss her very much.
