Mary Catherine Sullivan Mann was born Dec. 26, 1913, to John and Mary Sullivan in Butte, Mont. At the age of eight, after the death of her parents, she came to Oak Harbor to live with her uncle and aunt, James and Julia Sullivan. She died peacefully Dec. 3, 2004, at Bessie Burton Sullivan Nursing Residence in Seattle.
She attended Oak Harbor schools and Western Washington College, teaching in Skagit County for a few years. In 1942 she married Darrell Mann and moved to Bremerton where she worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in travel and military pay, retiring in 1974.
Her husband Darrell Mann and brothers John and Dan Sullivan preceded her in death.
She is survived by her cousin Mary Vanderzicht of Oak Harbor and her nieces Danee Sullivan Hubbs, Ann Vanderzicht Gottberg, Fran Vanderzicht Carlson, Cathryn Vanderzicht, MaryBeth Vanderzicht Meno and Patti Vanderzicht Gats.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Sacred Heart Church in Seattle.
