Russell E. Sams, age 47, former Oak Harbor resident, passed away at his San Francisco home on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016.

Russell was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 4, 1968.

He was raised in Oak Harbor and attended Oak Harbor schools, graduating from Oak Harbor High School.

He is survived by his son, Gregory, and daughter, Sierra; also, by his mother, Elnora Hall, and numerous siblings and other relatives.

A memorial service for Russell will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at House of Prayer, 620 Erin Park Road, Oak Harbor. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com
