Ella Mae Maddox passed away in Coupeville, Washington on March 29, 2012. Ella Mae was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 26, 1928. After living in several different places around southern California, including San Jose, Sacramento and also Ashland, Oregon, she finally moved to Oak Harbor, Washington to settle down.

Ella Mae loved quilting and was often sewing and even helped some friends with alterations. Ella Mae also enjoyed being an exceptional artist, particularly working with water colors and painting water wheel scenes. Ella Mae is survived by Andy Anderson, Daughter Janet Warden, Son James Maddox, Grandson Patrick Warden, and Granddaughter Ronda Warden. A visitation was held on April 11, 2012 at Burley Funeral Chapel.
