Vote ‘no’ on I-594, vote ‘yes’ for I-591 | Letter

I take strong exception to Art Huffine’s Sept. 27 letter to the editor.

Editor,

I take strong exception to Art Huffine’s Sept. 27 letter to the editor.

His letter states that Initiative 594 is well written; however, I think he means that it was written by lawyers with a ton of money coming from the billionaires who want to usurp and buy our legislative process with overwhelming mass TV, radio and newspaper ads.

Anyone who reads this 18-page monster will come to realize that this initiative really does nothing to prevent or stop gun violence by those who intend to break the law and commit violence.

He forgot to mention that Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City and wannabe rock star, is one of the major contributors whose goal is to disarm the American public.

Bloomberg was quoted as saying, “If there is a God, when I get to heaven, I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I am heading straight in. I have earned my place in heaven. It’s not even close.”

I am sure that the army of body guards surrounding him, the Gates, Hanauers, Allens  and rest of those millionaires funding this initiative, will not give up their firearms.

It is interesting that the Washington Association of Police and Sheriffs and Washington State Law Enforcement Firearm Instructors don’t support 594 but do support 591, which is only one page.

Vote “no” on I-594 and “yes” for I-591.

Remember, you are responsible for your own safety and your family. The state is not.
