This is a letter concerning the nation and our common welfare. It is in bad trouble.

Why won’t people running for president say how they are going to get us out of trouble? I am a World War II veteran and know that they lie more than they tell the truth.

We need to get away from importing and start manufacturing. We would be putting everyone to work and our products are better than foreign products anyway. Look at all the cars sold in this country that should be made in the U.S.A. I served 20 months in the South Pacific. I believe the men of the USS Arizona, Oklahoma and all the others are not thanking the people that are buying these foreign cars.

This country is big enough to take care of our own instead of supporting China, Japan, Korea and other exporters. Our people and nation come first, not the best interests of 541 compromising, out-of-touch millionaire politicians!

It’s time for profound changes with the best interests of the people looked after for a change!
