Editor,

In light of the tragic shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School on Friday, Oct. 24, I am so proud to hear of the decision made by our Wildcat football team to voluntarily forfeit their game to Marysville-Pilchuck.

Whether the decision was made by the coaches, players or all of them, I applaud the decision.

Such a moment in the short football careers of these players will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most important things they ever did as Oak Harbor Wildcats.

I am proud to be a part of the OHHS community.

May God bring comfort to all those traumatized by the events at MPHS.
