After reading the March 4 article covering the SE Pioneer Way groundbreaking ceremony, I felt way too much was made of the “flyover” by the bald eagle. I would guess there have been hundreds or maybe even thousands of “birds” flown by Oak Harbor residents as they drove past the project signs and banners downtown. What about the condor sized “bird” flown by the mayor and some members of our city council? It was set aloft some time ago and has been soaring ever since.

I also have a “bird” and I plan on setting it free on election day.
