Editor,
I would like to comment on Rick Abraham’s letter.
First, the medical evidence you claim to have is based on misgiven information on COER’s part. It’s biased and without merit.
Next, I find it highly offensive you feel privileged and consider yourself a spokesperson for not only the homeless youth, but also Ryan’s House.
Personally, I think the possible new location is a perfect solution for many of the actual people involved and not someone from COER looking for yet another feeble attempt to shut down OLF.
This sir, is a Navy town. We have been and will continue to be a Navy town. One of the beautiful things about America is our freedoms.
So, here’s a wonderful way for you to exercise your freedoms, provided to you, courtesy of the Navy and all branches of the military — you’re welcome.
Exercise your freedoms by moving. Find a nice little quiet place in the middle of nowhere that doesn’t have a well-established military presence.
It’s exhausting listening to you and your members create lies, falsehoods and scare tactics.
It’s such a simple solution for everyone. If you are that miserable here, please, do your homework and find another place to call home. I’m sure the homeless youth being helped by Ryan’s House will be ecstatic knowing they have somewhere safe, dry, warm and welcoming to go to in their time of need.
And, for you, Mr. Abraham, good riddance and so long. Safe travels, fair winds and calm skies.
In my Coupeville home, we cherish those jets and their noise. We pray for their safety while they defend our freedoms.
