County meetings to define ‘rural character’

Public meetings this week will address how residents define “rural character” and how they want rural lands to be used.

Public meetings this week will address how residents define “rural character” and how they want rural lands to be used.

The agenda for the meetings is posted to the Island County Comprehensive Plan Update website at www.islandcounty2036.org.

The public meetings will be held at the following dates and times:

6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Coupeville Public Library, 788 N.W. Alexander Street.

5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Oak Harbor Public Library, 1000 S.E. Regatta Drive.

5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at S. Whidbey Elementary Community Room,  Langley.
