Workers strung 3,900 feet of LED lights to decorate the crane, which was brought in to help with the sewage treatment plant being built in Windjammer Park. The city and Hoffman Construction shared in the cost of the lights. The original intention was to switch on the lights after Thanksgiving but someone was over-eager and turned them on ahead of time, according to city officials.
