The first place to which I turn in your paper is the opinion page, where I am confronted with the offerings of your editorial cartoonist, Milt Priggee. Sometimes I am bewildered as his intended message totally escapes me. Occasionally I have responded “right on!â€
Usually I consider his cartoons to be mediocre. But on August 3 I though he went way beyond the bounds of propriety. His depiction of a horse in bed with a man was, in my opinion, extremely offensive in making light of a perversion that has recently come to light in our area.
I am surprised and disappointed that this inappropriate visual commentary got past your editorial scrutiny.
