While all the entries in the 2015 Scarecrow Cooridor contest were rockstars this year, three came out on top.
Best business entry went to Harrada Physical Therapy for its entry of Olivia Newton John’s “Let’s Get Physical.”
Coupeville Lions Club won for best nonprofit entry with Elton John’s “The Lion King.”
And the WSU extension won most humorous for its “Recycled Rockstar.”
“There were some amazing entries this year,” said Lynda Eccles, with the Coupeville Chamber of Commerce. “Everyone did so well, it was hard to choose.”
Many honorable mentions were also chosen including Seaside Spa and Salon for its entry “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” and Emily’s Sweets and Treats for its entry “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
Two gardening groups, the Coupeville Garden Club and WSU Master Gardeners also earned honorable mentions for “Bed of Roses” and “Let It Grow.”
Winners earned trophies and, of course, bragging rights for the year.
