Coupeville politics: Critics should get a new life

For some time now I have been reading about the supposed “horrible conditions” that will be created when Miriam’s new building is completed.

First it was because it would hide a large boulder which is already mostly covered by plants. It’s a rock for pete sake. Get over it. I just want to know, where were all these people when the new cottages went in down the street from where the new Miriam’s will be located. Why weren’t there any complaints then about increasing the traffic flow, which is surely must have done since new residents had to move in.

Where were the complaints when all then new building was taking place behind where Miriam’s is currently located. No one seemed to mind a new pizza place, or bank or office space, which would increase the traffic flow through that area. Finally, why have there been no complaints about Sally’s Garden building a new larger facility, and especially where were the complaints about ruining the ambiance of Coupeville when that large tower structure in front of Sally’s Garden went up.

Seems to me the complainers just have a personal vendetta against Frank and Miriam Meyers and are trying to disguise it as “concern for ruining Coupeville. I say, “get a life” and find something more important to complain about, like the misuse of Coupeville water for ball fields and roads.
