A successful fall junior bowling season recently came to an end at the Oak Bowl behind several impressive performances.
There was improvement at all levels, most notably with the Saturday juniors (12 and under).
Hunter Boothe, 3, started with an average of seven and ended his season with an average of 21. He had a high game of 50 and high series of 104.
Hannah Lampe, 4, started with an average of nine and concluded her season with a 30 average. She had a high game of 72 and a high series of 154.
Kelsey Lampe, 7, started with a 51 average and concluded her season with a 73 average. She had a high game of 112 and a high series of 258.
The Friday juniors (13-18) were led by Tyler Johnson with a high game of 255 and Joshua Whitley with a high game of 253.
Other notable performances this fall at the Oak Bowl came from the adult leagues. Three people bowled 300 games, including Paul Gould, Bob Groton and Brad Thompson. George Ray was just shy of becoming the fourth, rolling a 298.
The winter junior leagues are now open for registration. The season begins at 4 p.m., Jan. 6 for Friday juniors and 10 a.m., Jan. 7 for Saturday juniors.
