War protest: Protesters paid by Saddam?

Let me join the hundreds of patriots who will be writing to express disgust regarding the Saturday spectacle in Oak Harbor. One would wonder if those anti-U.S. protesters are on Saddam's payroll.

I was shocked to see the blatant trashing of our country. Did Patty Murray actually convince them that the murderous Saddam is really a misunderstood humanitarian? Also, the picketers are a bit inconsistent. They are trying to tell the rest of us that the President of the United States wants war, and they try to convince us that his reasons are: (1) To get re-elected (2) Get Iraqi oil (3) His rich oil buddies want the oil (4) Big business wants to profit from war (5) He wants to test weapons (6) He has a six-gun mentality and wants to kill people.

Now someone please tell me which of these reasons is the correct one? They say war will kill innocent Iraqi civilians and children, and at the same time they are screaming to attack North Korea! Is it OK with these nuts to kill Korean children?

To stage such an insulting demonstration this close to Ault Field against the very people who lay their lives on the line to protect our freedom flies in the face of common sense. Their implication that the Navy personnel are somehow being “duped” by President Bush would be ludicrous if it weren’t for the serious consequences of this stupid demonstration.

I am sick and tired of the self-righteous defending our enemies. The damage done by Tokyo Rose, Hanoi Jane, Baghdad McDermott and their kind isn’t very apparent on the surface, but it damages our freedom just the same. I for one, am glad George W. Bush waves the flag, as I am a flag-waver too. And PROUD of it!
