Dr. Jeffrey S. Garden of Oak Harbor will answer questions about Islam and the Islamic world on Monday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m., at First Reformed Church in Oak Harbor.
Garden spent 20 years as a Christian missionay to Muslim countries and speaks fluent Arabic. Garden will answer written questions as well as oral questions form the audience.
Garden will build his presentation around the questions. Garden is the Executive Director of Oak Harbor-based Development Companions International which is hosting the event.
Rev. Darryl Rodman of Oak Harbor will speak on his experiences in India on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Oak Harbor. Rev. Rodman has been preaching in the city of Coimbatore and attended a ministerial conference there Dec. 4-6.
His presentation will include information on a burgeoning Christian movement in India and organized, massed conversions of the lower castes in that country. Rev. Rodman’s presentation willbe co-hosted by First Baptist Church and DCI (Development Companions International).
