I am writing this letter to see if we can get some of you high beam drivers to pay more attention to what you are doing to other drivers from the rear as well as the front. This problem has happened too long to ignore anymore.

My husband and I were driving home Sunday evening and as we turned left, coming up the hill by Country Corners, this arrogant driver in a silver van was close behind with (you guessed it) high beams on. The brightness got so bad that we pulled over at Deception Pass bridge to let him by.

I feel if your eyesight is that bad, maybe you shouldn’t be driving at night. My husband has very good eyesight (thanks to eye surgery) and he can drive at night. So when you’re driving at night, please give the other driver a break and check your lights to see if they are still set on low beam.

The only time a driver needs high beams is if you are on a real dark road or in the woods. I would like to see a law passed, “Get your lights checked or no tabs.”
