Community kids: Young explorers return from wilds

We’re back. The students and families of the Lewis and Clark Expedition would like to thank every individual and business that made our journey possible.

We’re back.

The students and families of the Lewis and Clark Expedition would like to thank every individual and business that made our journey possible. As we visited the Nez Perce tribe, crossed the LoLo Trail, floated the Blackfoot River, toured the Gates of the Mountain, crossed the Continental Divide and at dusk looked over the three forks of the Madison, Jefferson and Gallatin rivers, we said thanks to everyone for making our expedition possible.

From a teacher’s perspective this experience was wonderful because of the historical and scientific learning that we were experiencing along the way. But most important was the teamwork and bonding between individuals and families that occurred.

To the parents that accompanied us, thank you for your support and help. Your cooperation and willingness to “go along” with this crazy madcap teacher was very much appreciated.

Again, thank you to all. Our communities are awesome. You always rise to the occasion when children and students need you. This trip will be remembered always.
