Opportunity Council is recognizing its 50th anniversary this year with a community celebration at the Mt. Baker Theatre in Bellingham Thursday, Nov. 12.
The event will start at 6 p.m. and feature speakers and videos celebrating “community action” partners and projects over the last 50 years.
”This 50-year anniversary event is an opportunity to celebrate with our former board members, employees, partner agencies, donors, elected officials, customers, supporters, and everyone who has been connected to this agency over the last five decades,” said Sheri Emerson, Associate Director.
“We’re looking forward to sharing some new videos celebrating how this agency is making a difference and also showcase interviews with people who have played a key role in community action,” she added.
Emerson said the doors open at 5 p.m. and guests are invited to enjoy music, food and a photo booth in the lobby before the program begins in the main theater at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and available in advance at the Mt. Baker Theatre, www.mountbakertheatre.com, or at Village Books in Fairhaven.
