‘Cats top Tommies again / Tennis

The Oak Harbor High School tennis team defeated visiting Marysville-Pilchuck 6-1 Friday, April 21, getting its second win over the Tomahawks in four days.

Winners for the Wildcats were Aelizah Espiritu (first singles, 6-3, 6-7[6), 10-7); Emma Lerch (third singles, 6-0, 6-1); Maddie McKenzie (fourth singles, 6-4, 7-6[6]); Emma Wezeman and Emily Brown (first doubles, 6-2, 6-2); MJ Timm and Chloe Stowell (second doubles, 6-3, 6-1); and Alyssa Schneider and Sarah Smith (third doubles, 6-3, 6-1).

Peyton Carlson fell in second singles 6-2, 2-6, 6-1.

Oak Harbor (2-5, 4-7) plays at Snohomish (5-0, 9-0) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 24.
