Here’s a rundown on local prep sports for Thursday, Oct. 4,
Coupeville Volleyball
Coupeville blanked visiting Port Townsend 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-14) in a non-league match.
Maya Toomey-Stout collected 12 kills, Scout Smith had 16 assists and five aces and Ashley Menges added seven aces.
Coupeville (3-1, 6-1) goes to Sultan (0-4, 3-5) at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Oak Harbor Soccer
Oak Harbor lost 4-1 at Stanwood.
Bree Scheppler scored the Wildcats’ lone goal.
The Wildcats (2-8, 4-8) host Marysville-Pilchuck (2-6-1, 3-7-1) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Coupeville Soccer
The Wolves drubbed visiting Port Townsend 5-0.
Genna Wright recorded a hat trick and Anna Dion and Lindsey Roberts added single goals.
The victory broke a six-match losing streak for Coupeville (1-5, 2-8-1), which travels to Sultan (0-6, 4-8) for a 7 p.m. match Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Oak Harbor Tennis
Oak Harbor shutout visiting Lynnwood 7-0.
Winners for the Wildcats were Nick Krantz (7-6[7-1], 6-3), Nathaniel Thompson (6-0, 6-1), Elsian Atienza (6-0, 6-3), Nathan Merrill (7-5, 6-3), Ridgely Briddell/Samuel Peek (6-1, 6-0), Micah Franklin/Ezra Franklin (6-0, 6-0) and Ethan Snell/Yuji Caballero (6-3, 7-6[7-4]).
Oak Harbor (3-3, 5-4) plays at Mariner (0-7, 0-11) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8.
Coupeville Cross Country
The Coupeville boys placed fifth in a North Sound Conference meet at South Whidbey High School.
Danny Conlisk paced the Wolves by finishing 10th in 18:58.23.
The Coupeville girls had only one runner and did not qualify for a team score. Alana Mihill placed 10th in 24:48.62.
