The Coupeville girls placed third and the boys fifth at the middle school cross country championships Wednesday, Oct. 17, at South Whidbey High School.
Eighth-grader Carolyn Lhamon (12:41.09) paced the Coupeville girls by placing ninth out of 42 runners.
In the boys race, seventh-grader Cole White (11:30.95) recorded the best Coupeville finish, ninth out of 80.
Langley won both the girls and boys titles and produced the individual champions, Madeline Racicot (11:20.26) and Nicholas Muller (10:36.37).
