Coupeville High School junior Hunter Smith was named the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 1A Male Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Wolves’ win over Klahowya Dec. 13.

Smith registered 25 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in leading Coupeville to its first victory of the season.

Smith also won the award the first week of the football season for his efforts in Coupeville’s win over South Whidbey.
