The LM Premier 3-on-3 basketball tournament takes place Saturday, July 20, at the South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District Rotary Court.
The tournament is open to those 16 and older. The cost is $100 per team; each team may have four players. Registration is open through the date of the event.
The first place team wins $500, second place $300 and third $100. In addition, the winner of the three-point contest receives $100.
The tournament, in its ninth year, was originally a fundraiser to build the Rotary Court. After the fundraising was complete and the court constructed, benefits have gone to other SWPRD projects.
“There will be a live DJ spinning music and food booth serving gourmet Seattle Dogs as well,” Louis Muniz, tournament director, said. “We want to make it a family and community event to come and watch even if you don’t play.”
Sponsorships are available for $100, and sponsors may hang their banner at the court on game day.
Teams can get information and sign up at the SWPRD office or can contact Muniz at 360-969-1028 or louismuniz@windermere.com
