Teams from the opposite ends of the Western Conference volleyball standings met Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Oak Harbor, and the Wildcats held on to first place with a 3-0 win over Mountlake Terrace.
Oak Harbor (7-0) remained in a three-way tie with Snohomish and Arlington for the Wesco lead with the win; Mountlake Terrace (0-7) remained winless with the loss.
The Wildcats play at Stanwood (4-4) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.

The Wildcats won 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.
Leielle Salinger filled up the stat sheet with 12 kills, 17 digs, five aces and a block.
Morgan Pease added 14 kills, 11 digs and three aces, while Payton Parks had seven kills, three aces and two blocks.
Annie Salinger handed out 21 assists and Katie Bishop had 10.
Annie Salinger also had nine digs, and Gredina DeGuzman collected 12.
