“Physically Gone But Never Forgotten”
Elizabeth, age 73, longtime resident of Oak Harbor, Wash., passed away after a long battle with renal failure.
Elizabeth was born in Oak Harbor to Onno and Minnie Heller. She grew up in Oak Harbor and attended school here, graduating from Oak Harbor High School in 1965. She moved away to Buckley, Wash., and worked for Rainier State School for 34 years as an Attendant Counselor #4 before retiring. She then returned to her beloved Oak Harbor and family farm.
Elizabeth was an avid reader, artist, painter and crafts person. She really enjoyed her flowers, gardens and the wildlife attracted to her “green space.”
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jim; daughters, Donna (husband Tim) and Josette (husband Will); grandsons, August and Onno; her brother, Ed (wife Ellen); and two sisters, Dena and Kathy. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces whom she cared about very much.
Elizabeth’s girls, and grandsons, will carry on her legacy forever. She got her final wish to be with her Dad and Mom.
