A new Clinton walk-in clinic is slated to open June 2 and aims to provide more accessible health care services to South Whidbey, according to a press release from WhidbeyHealth.

Back pain, upset stomachs, cuts, earaches, allergies and the common cold are just some of the maladies that can be addressed at the new clinic.

Patients can be Whidbey residents or visitors. Scheduling an appointment or having a primary care provider is not necessary.

Additionally, the walk-in clinic offers diagnostic imaging, screening mammography or lab services when ordered by a doctor.

There will be several safety measures in place, including screening for fevers, universal use of masks by everyone at the clinic and maintaining social distancing, according to a press release. Walk-in clinic staff will have personal protective equipment.

“We want to ensure that patients feel safe entering every WhidbeyHealth facility,” Colleen Clark, chief operating officer, said in a press release.

“Patients and supporters will be required to wear a mask which we will make available if they do not have one.”

Patients with upper respiratory symptoms may be asked to return to their vehicles to complete their registration by phone and wait for a provider to see them.

The new clinic is located at 11245 State Route 525. Hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
