The journey takes several steps, actually.
He travels by foot from the small house he shares with his wife Dolores on Ebey’s Prairie. When Dale Sherman slides open the massive door of a rustic, old barn, a musty scent immediately fills the nostrils.
It’s a creepy, old place, for sure, with dusty cobwebs galore, hooks and ropes that dangle from the rafters and a large hole in the floor covered by loose boards.
All things considered, it is the ideal site for the “Haunted Barn” attraction that is part of “The Haunting of Coupeville” this month.

McCastle was still feeling the effects of an unworldly accomplishment Monday as he arrived for his job at Ault Field as an air traffic controller.
Early Sunday, McCastle had just finished completing 5,804 pullups in just under 22-1/2 hours, which beat the Guinness world record for pullups in a 24-hour period.
