Equestrian Crossings (EqX), a local nonprofit organization which offers horsemanship activities to students of nearly all ages, abilities and disabilities, is in need of helpers.

Volunteers are needed throughout lesson days to help prepare horses and assist students. Lessons will begin Sept. 13 and run through Nov. 4 at locations in Oak Harbor and Greenbank.

Volunteer training is free and no experience is necessary. For convenience, training is offered five different times over a three-day period at two locations.

Those interested should wear long pants, sturdy shoes and be ready for fun. Refreshments will be provided.
