Morning shuttle service returns

Whidbey SeaTac Shuttle will increase its service for residents of the north end of Whidbey Island to SeaTac International Airport.

Beginning May 1, the early morning shuttle will depart Oak Harbor Monday through Saturday, with a planned arrival at the airport at 5 a.m.

This service will remain in place through January 7, 2012 and will allow travelers to catch early flights without having to go to the airport or a hotel the night before.

“This was a very popular trip last summer and over the holidays with the base personnel and island residents alike; we are very pleased to offer this service again,” said general manager James Johnson in a press release.

Johnson also announced the return of Whidbey SeaTac Shuttle service to downtown Seattle and the cruise terminals beginning May 13. Stops will include Westlake Center and both cruise terminals at Piers 66 and 91.

“We have had a lot of calls from island residents who are taking advantage of the great cruise ship deals this year and looking for a way to get there,” Johnson said. The downtown and cruise terminal service will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Sept. 18.
