Oak Harbor High School’s Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps drill team made another strong showing during its third meet of the year the weekend of Feb. 26.
The team took first place in the Unarmed Drill, Armed Drill and Air Rifle competitions and earned second place in Physical Strength.
The latest performances may ensure the OHHS drill team will have a strong showing when Oak Harbor hosts the regional championship in late April.
The top four teams in each category qualify to compete at the regional drill meet. With one more meet to go before regionals, the Wildcat Battalion qualifies in all categories.
In first place are Color Guard 1, Unarmed Drill Team, Armed Drill Team, Air Rifle Team 1, Physical Strength Team 1 and Singles Armed Exhibition Drill. Color Guard Team 1 is in second place overall while Physical Strength Team 2 and the Dual Armed Exhibition Drill are each in third place overall.
