The Oak Harbor Downtown Merchants Association will celebrate the completion of the Pioneer Way construction project with a 5K fun run and one-mile fun run/walk on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Those interested may check-in at Fidalgo and Dock Street at 9:30 a.m. The 5K run will begin at 10 a.m. and the one-mile run/walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. Registration for the 5K is $25 while the one-mile is $10. All participants must sign a participation waiver.

The first 100 people will receive a T-shirt. Anyone who registers by Oct. 9 is guaranteed a shirt. All participants will receive a goodie bag. Registration forms may be returned to Bayview Embroidery ‘n Print or Paint Your World. Information is available by calling Mercy at 679-7900. Proceeds will be used to promote commerce in the downtown merchants’ district.
